HalalNexus and Halal Angels Network has partnered to support the local government and firms in Islamic finance and halal consumer market.
To boost the local halal ecosystem, the partnership will focus on key areas such as halal tourism, halal foodtech, ethical finance and future technologies. Singapore is poised to capitalize on the over $2.69t (US$2t) halal market size in the Asia-Pacific region.
According to Halal Angels Network founder Tausif Malik, the partnership would back the Singaporean government’s startup initiatives and market opportunities in venturing into the halal consumer market, both B2C and B2B.
Preparations are ongoing to host the Halal & Ethical Investment Summit which is scheduled to take place in Singapore post-pandemic. This is a part of a series of conferences to be held at different locations worldwide.
In a media release, HalalNexus said that the partnership with Halal Angels Network will pave way to build a network and connect with other like-minded startups, entrepreneurs and investors.
