With the Muslim consumer market expanding to a staggering USD$2 trillion and a projected population of 3 billion by 2060, Global Muslim Business Forum (GMBF) 2023 proved instrumental in unlocking the vast potential of the Islamic economy. The forum aimed to innovate solutions for global challenges, with a particular focus on issues such as food security and financial volatility.
Themed “Innovations and Transformation in Islamic Economies,” the three-day event, held from November 28 to 30, played host to over 1000 confirmed attendees from around the world, including 36 international speakers from over 30 countries across six continents. GMBF 2023 showcased its wide global reach in the Islamic economic sector.
The forum kicked off with a Gala Dinner on November 28th, setting the stage for an intellectually stimulating exchange. Keynote addresses by esteemed leaders included:
Deputy Prime Minister presented the GMBF International Islamic Icons, Philanthropy, and Lifetime Achievement Awards to over 20 individuals and corporations making significant contributions to the global Muslim economy.
Distinguished speakers from various sectors, including government officials, industry leaders, and experts in finance, technology, and entrepreneurship, addressed pressing challenges and opportunities within Islamic economies.
Hosted by the Sarawak Government and co-organized by the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA), and Global One, GMBF 2023 aimed to foster international partnerships and sustainable development. The forum served as a knowledge hub for Islamic learning, supported the Green Economy, and advocated for inclusive sustainable development.
