Making your way through Western Australia is now made effortless for Malaysians thanks to a brand new travel handbook.
The handbook, titled Panduan Perjalanan Muslim Western Australia: Berjalan Di Dalam Impian (Muslim Travel Guide to Western Australia: Walking On A Dream), caters to Muslim travelers seeking halal experiences in Western Australia. It offers comprehensive information tailored to Muslims, including travel itineraries and guidelines, halal dining options, locations of mosques and prayer rooms, as well as details on driving and public transportation.
Naturally, this handbook also serves as a valuable resource for non-Muslim travelers who wish to plan a trip to Australia’s largest state.
The guidebook commences with a brief introduction to Western Australia’s five tourism regions: Perth, South West, Coral Coast, Golden Outback, and Coral Coast. It also provides information on domestic flights from Perth to other tourism regions within the state, as well as flight details from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to Perth.
Western Australia boasts several UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites, including the Purnulu National Park, which is home to the captivating Bungle Bungle Range. This awe-inspiring landscape features intricately carved rock formations composed of karst sandstone that rise 250 meters above the grasslands.
The state is also renowned for its national parks, such as Lake Ballard, Karijini National Park, and Nambung National Park or Pinnacles.
Furthermore, Western Australia is famous for its stunning beaches and islands, including Rottnest Island, where you can encounter the world’s happiest creature, the quokka. The guide provides information on how to reach the island and suggests other activities in the surrounding area.
Ava Ang, the country manager for Singapore and Malaysia at Tourism Western Australia, stated, “We hope that by relaunching our Muslim travel guide, we can simplify travel planning for Malaysian Muslim travelers, enabling them to visit the state, marvel at its natural wonders, and experience its rich cultural heritage firsthand.”
Meanwhile, Malaysians planning to visit Australia in the near future will be delighted to know that the Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) application can be processed within approximately one week. However, it is advisable to submit applications at least four weeks prior to departure to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.
You can download the Muslim travel guide, along with other useful guides and suggested itineraries, from the Western Australia website (westernaustralia.com).
