The Halal Food Tour will return to the Greater Toronto Area with six places of interest, including Mississauga and Brampton.
Between May 12 and June 18, the tour will visit a different city every weekend, beginning in Square One’s P3 parking lot in Mississauga.
Over the course of eight weeks, more than 125,000 people attended last year’s tour.
The dates for the tour are as follows:
• May 12-14: Mississauga (Square One Shopping Centre)
• May 19-21: Milton (Milton GO Station)
“NMTO’s aim is to ensure that the Muslim community has peace of mind coming to the food tour, where no concerns should be felt and everything should be enjoyed,” NMTO said in a news release.
“For six straight weekends, vendors will be strictly serving all hand-slaughtered halal meat and poultry from Meatheads. No pork, no alcohol, no cross-contamination.”
