The annual World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) is to be held on 16th May 2023 and open for registration.
Incorporating women into the halal economy has been proven to be a positive step, creating a strong network of women entrepreneurs across all segments of the industry. As a result, women are gaining greater access to new partnerships, thereby driving the halal economy further.
The current growth forecast for the global halal industry is worth around USD 3 trillion, primarily due to newly created halal economy segments such as pharmaceuticals, tourism, banking, and financial services for women. This development is encouraging more women to venture into halal entrepreneurship.
The objective is to leverage the 252 million women entrepreneurs globally to drive innovation, product development, and creativity in expanding the halal economy ecosystem. The aim is to make it a significant player in the global economy, while also bridging the economic sectoral gender divide.
Women’s involvement in the halal economy is significant because of the economic benefits it provides. More women are taking on leadership roles in various industries, leading to an increase in the number of female entrepreneurs. This is a vital step towards achieving economic equality between genders.
The halal industry provides an excellent opportunity for women to establish themselves in the business world. Women entrepreneurs can create new products and services that cater to the needs of Muslim consumers. They can also take advantage of the halal industry’s rapid growth to expand their businesses and gain greater financial independence.
The involvement of women in the halal economy is crucial to its success. By capitalizing on the vast number of women entrepreneurs globally, the halal economy can become a more significant player in the global economy, while also promoting gender equality. The halal industry provides an ideal platform for women to showcase their entrepreneurial skills, and their involvement is essential to driving innovation and creativity within the industry.
