A Successful Event of : “Thailand Halal Assembly 2022”

Thailand Halal Assembly 2022 was hailed as one of the top international events and achieved great success.

The Thailand Halal Assembly 2022 international conference, with the theme “Soft Powering of Halal Science, Technology, and Innovation,” aims to promote the soft powering, research, technology, and innovation of Thai halal science with a blending focus on Islam and Thai identity in order to present Thai halal to the digital era and elevate the “Thailand Diamond Halal” to the international stage.

The Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT), the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand (HSIT), and the Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University (HSC-CU) jointly organized the “Thailand Halal Assembly 2022” on December 15 and 16, 2022, at the university’s 60th Anniversary Chaloem Rajakumari Building (Chamchuri 10), Bangkok. The event featured the 8th International Halal Standards and Certification Convention (IHSACC), the International Halal Science and Technology Conference (IHSATEC2022: 15th Halal Science Industry and Business (HASIB)), and an academic exhibition with the theme “Soft Powering of Halal Science, Technology, and Innovation.”

The keynote address was given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan, founder and director of the Halal Science Center at Chulalongkorn University (HSC-CU), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pakorn Priyakorn, director of the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand.

The two-day event drew more than 1,500 attendees from both on-site and online venues, with 531 of them coming from 41 different nations, including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Vietnam, Republic of Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Republic of Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Republic of Turkey, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, Poland.
