The halal products applications and research center at Lokman Hekim University Halal Product Application and Research Center became the first institution of higher learning to be granted permission to issue the halal conformity certificate which is crucial business standard for Islamic nations.
Moreover, a new organization has been added to the list of organization in turkey that issue halal conformity certificates despite predictions that the market for halal good and services will reach a value of 2028 trillion dollars by the year 2022
The center is the first university to confirm that goods and services are produced in accordance with technical standards and Islamic values throughout the entire chain, from raw materials to presentation thanks to its scientific and technological infrastructure and expert staff dedicated to Islamic and ethical value. Fatih Gultekin emphasized that by guaranteeing their traceability, halal certification ensures that goods and services are delivered to customers in a halal and healthy manner. The procedures continue with the examination, and experiment phases after the application is examined. The certification choice is made after the evaluation phase.
Lokman Hekim University Rector and LHUHAM Director Prof. Dr. Fatih Gültekin said, “As Lokman Hekim University, we are proud to be the first university authorized to issue a Halal Conformity Certificate. Our Halal Product Application and Research Center has started to provide a transparent halal certification service by paying attention to the principle of confidentiality in a consistent, impartial and independent evaluation process.”
