The Halal Food Company launches new ready-made meals in Sainsbury’s, UK

Five new lines of the only 3rd party certified halal products have been launched in the UK by the Halal Food Company.

Catering to over a 100 Sainsbury’s stores, this is a big step forward for the growing Muslim consumer market in Britain.

Sainsbury’s will be offering the Halal Food Company’s snack pot of Panang Chicken Curry and Basmati rice and another one consisting of Peri Peri Stir Fry with Grilled Chicken, along with Beef Lasagna, Shepherd’s Pie, and Macaroni Pasta with Slow Cooked Meatballs. They are also working on a variety of sandwich fillings and finger foods to add to this list for the 4.2 million Muslims estimated to be following the Halal dietary in the UK.

All Halal Food Company products are inspired by different cultures and strives to follow the current food trends. High meat content is included in almost every recipe and are cooked in small batched with local ingredients from ethical suppliers. Furthermore, the packaging of the boxes is also fully recyclable.

The Halal Food Company’s managing director, Gary Docherty, has stated “We are delighted to announce the launch of five certified, premium prepared chilled meals to the UK retail market, through our partnership with Sainsbury’s. Our range is produced in our Grade A BRC kitchens in Ireland and we look forward to launching further products in the months ahead.”
