Ahmed Alwan, a businessman from Radford, will be opening a new supermarket, Mraya Supermarket on Alfred Road. And here’s the catch: The Supermarket will sell exclusively Arabic Halal Food.

This supermarket will be the first of its kind in the entire Nottingham. Because, while there are shops in Nottingham that sell Arabic food, they only have a narrow selection. So, for many years, Ahmed Alwan’s dream has been to create a store just for his people and to give back to the community.
