El Halal Amigos- Popular Halal Mexican Food Truck’s Grand opening in San Jose Restaurant

El Halal Amigos, a renowned East Bay food truck, is launching its first brick-and-mortar location in San Jose, California. The new restaurant will hold a community-focused Grand Opening event on Saturday, February 5^th at 12 pm.

Attendees will be greeted with a ribbon cutting ceremony, live music by local musicians including Grupo Revelo and DJ Maddawg, and the first 100 visitors will receive a complimentary Agua Fresca with their purchase.

In 2020, Chef Hisham founded El Halal Amigos, a food truck. His idea of combining high-quality Halal meats with authentic Mexican cuisine took off, and the food truck has been a phenomenal hit. In 2022, he and his partners opened the brick-and-mortar restaurant in Willow Glen with a broader menu that includes street tacos, burritos, and plates with brisket barbacoa, carne asada, and vegan potato and cauliflower, as well as shareables like spicy queso and chips and churros with chocolate and Marianne’s vanilla ice cream.

El Halal Amigos donates a percentage of their profits to charity each month and collaborates with Islamic Relief USA. Donations were donated to the residents of Beirut in August, and they are now giving to the children of Palestine through Islamic Relief.
