Yvonne Maffei is the Developer of MyHalalKitchen.com, a halal food and cooking website. She is also a food writer and cookbook author. Clean Your Kitchen Green (2010), Summer Ramadan Cooking (2013), and My Halal Kitchen: Global Recipes, Cooking Tips, and Lifestyle Inspiration are her three books (2016). Her work aims to show the diversity of halal cuisine around the world, as well as how anyone can make dishes that follow halal dietary guidelines.
Yvonne also consults schools, hospitals, and businesses on how to share healthy, halal ingredients to arrange fresh new concepts for halal meals, and she gives cooking classes, presentations, and lessons about halal cooking and healthy eating.

She is currently offering a Halal Cooking workshop to culinary schools, hospitals and institutions where today’s chefs and culinary students can learn more about how and why they should understand the techniques, substitutions, preparation of Halal food as well as how to cater to the Halal consumer and learn about the potential job market in this industry.
During the workshop, the participants will receive the My Halal Kitchen Cookbook, course study guide and a certificate of completion after finishing the course successfully.
