A luxury eco-resort complete with overwater villas and a floating restaurant will debut in Ras Al Khaimah in 2022
An alluring, tranquil eco-resort with overwater villas, you’ll largely need to fly to nearby island paradises like Mauritius, Seychelles and Maldives. That is, at least for now – as the UAE first eco-resort with over water villas is opening in Ras Al Khaimah in 2022.
Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is on track to open by the end of next year on the Mina Al Arab development, offering stunning views of the ocean and adjacent tidal wetlands.
The 174 room Anantara Mina Al Arab will overlook its own private beach and eco-reserve filled with capricious mangroves. The resort, sprawling across a 71,000 square metre plot, will be the first Maldivian-style overwater villas in Ras Al Khaimah, providing a dizzying luxury escape less than an hour from Dubai.
Those checking in to one of the handful of overwater villas at the resort can also look forward to the comfort of a private plunge pool and over water lounger, built in features that form part of the villa deck.
An Anantara Spa and a diverse selection of restaurants – one of which will be overwater – will also form part of the eco-resort.
Mina Al Arab is a natural choice for the eco-resort, which will inevitably blend breezily into the coastal wetlands, lush natural landscaping and pristine beaches that surround it. Anantara Mina Al Arab’s location in the UAE’s adrenaline-fuelled emirate of Ras Al Khaimah means it benefits from being on the doorstep of adventure, with the Hajar Mountains, wadi’s and rolling dunes a short drive away.
