The long-promised 8th edition of the TTM Maldives 2024 has officially started, bringing together industry leaders, trade partners, and important guests for a two-day event.
TTM Maldives 2024, the nation’s biggest travel trade exhibition, offers an opportunity for key stakeholders in the travel trade sector to collaborate, learn, and network. The TTM Connect Meetings, which take place in the Meerumaa Conference Facility on August 21 and 22, 2024, bring together important members of the industry. It culminates with the TTM Awards & Gala Night at Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi.
Using the TTM Connect site, which has exciting new features like the People’s Travel Trade Directory, the pre-scheduled TTM Connect Meetings will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every year, TTM Maldives arranges more than 3,000 appointments between 500 experts in the tourism industry. This year’s event welcomes over 250 agents, operators, and local DMCs from a variety of regions and has over 100 exhibiting resorts.
The Maldivian Minister of Tourism, Ibrahim Faisal, gave some opening remarks to kick off the program.
Important figures in the sector also gave presentations during the opening ceremony. Trip.com talked on how to use technology to optimize the Chinese market, while Fliggy talked about how to improve the Maldives experience. For tourists visiting the Maldives, Booking.com offered insights into consumer behavior and market trends, while Agoda described potential for online distribution.
