The UK’s ‘most expensive halal sandwich’ is coming to a Blackburn burger restaurant. . A new menu has been unveiled by the staff at King’s Castle on Darwen Street thanks to a collaboration with Malik Butchers. On Saturday, September 16, there will be a formal unveiling of the new menu, and the first 100 diners will receive a 50% discount. The new menu will initially only be offered at the Blackburn location, but it will gradually be introduced at the Preston and Haslingden King’s Castle locations as well.
At a VIP gathering over the weekend, social media celebrities were the first to test out chosen items. Magician Dawud, DJ Tariq, Qas Khan, and TikTok star Shabaz Says joined food bloggers Heyman, Mr. Munchbox, Halalmunchiesreviews, and Mashtag Brady.The Wagyu Pastrami Sandwich, which costs £20, is thought to be the UK’s most expensive halal sandwich. Other items on the new menu include the Angus Smash Burger, the Jumbo Cheesedog, Lamb Loaded Fries, and the Wagyu Pastrami Sandwich. It is produced with pastrami from Chilean wagyu cattle that has been brined, smoked, and cooked for two weeks. It is then served in a toastie that is meant to resemble a classic New York style Rueben sandwich.
Arif Patel, the proprietor of King’s Castle, stated: “As a food business owner, I am always searching for methods to deliver better quality produce and a larger variety to my clients.I instantly understood that Malik Butchers could be the collaborative partner I needed to upgrade the King’s Castle experience and aid in the introduction of new ideas after viewing some of their distinctive material on their social media. We are quite happy about the superior beef we will be receiving from Malik Butchers for our burgers and the artisan handcrafted sausages that will take the place of the hotdogs we previously utilized.We will also be the only location outside of Malik Butchers’ own store to carry the Wagyu Pastrami Toastie, the most costly halal sandwich in the UK.
