New Halal Health Café “Street Gainz” Opens in Bury Town Center

Street Gainz, a Halal health café, welcomed its first customers at its Silver Street location on Friday, July 14. The café is the brainchild of business partners Charlene Moffat and Ismail Khan, both with backgrounds in fitness and nutrition. They saw a gap in the market for a place to order healthy meals in the area, which led to the establishment of Street Gainz.

Charlene and Ismail, who share a passion for gym workouts and healthy eating, noticed the need for a health-conscious café that also catered to occasional indulgences. Their menu includes items like burgers made with lean rump steak, providing a balance between fitness and enjoyment. Additionally, they offer meal prep services, freshly made detox juices with detailed information on their health benefits, and a focus on nutritional advantages.

The founders also pride themselves on being one of the few places offering Halal healthy food. Charlene, who previously ran a café, overcame adversity after a serious car accident, which fueled her determination to study business and financial management at university. With a strong background in nutrition and fitness, she combined her expertise with Ismail’s business knowledge to create Street Gainz.

Since opening, the café has experienced a bustling stream of customers, opening from 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 11 am to 5 pm on Saturdays. On Sundays, they focus on meal prepping and smoothies.

Street Gainz plans to collaborate with nearby gyms, providing fridges for their meal preps, making it convenient for gym-goers to access healthy food after their workouts. The menu includes macro calculations for calorie, fat, and protein content, catering to individuals on strict diets who want to track their nutritional intake easily.
