Thousands of attendees flocked to Holland Park on Saturday to partake in the 2nd annual BC Halal Food Fest, a vibrant two-day event running from July 8 to July 9. With the aim of showcasing the rich diversity of halal food and cuisines from around the globe, the festival plans to feature over 60 vendors offering a wide range of culinary delights from countries such as Afghanistan, Nigeria, Mexico, France, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, India, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and more. Attendees can indulge in an array of options, including Turkish ice cream, gourmet halal burgers, falafels, and other delectable dishes.
The festival, which celebrates Eid, offers free admission to all and operates from noon to 9 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Additional attractions include a cultural bazaar, captivating circus entertainment acts, and a dedicated kid zone featuring inflatables and carnival games. The event is proudly supported by sponsors such as Muslim Food Bank Community Services in Surrey.
