ISTANBUL, TURKEY – Malaysia Showcase launched their ceremony on the 24th of November, 2023, for the beginning of the pavilion at the 9th OIC Halal Expo, Turkey. The launching ceremony was officiated by Consulate General of Malaysia, Istanbul, H.E Tengku Mohd Dzaraif Raja Abdul Kadir accompanied by the Trade Commissioner of MATRADE Malaysia, En Zahiruddin
Basiran. In celebrating the launching ceremony, there were launching signing and ribbon- cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the Malaysia Showcase Pavilion.
Stated by H.E Tengku Mohd Dzaraif Raja Abdul Kadir, “Today we embolden our Malaysian business owners to take full advantage of the event and to create a vision for all Muslim entrepreneurs around the world to connect, collaborate and share information to expand, enhance and fortify their businesses to other parts of the world.” Trade Commissioner of MATRADE Malaysia, En Zahiruddin Basiran also stated that, “it is not easy to showcase Halal businesses. Therefore, it needs elements of innovation and being able to boldly transform, keeping up with trends and consistently engaged with the end- user.”
He added, “To be able to thrive in today’s global halal market, businesses owners and entrepreneurs need to think about building brands, creating a distinctive identity for their goods, and connecting with the right audience.”
Turkiye remains as one of the emerging export markets with significant growth. In 2021, the Malaysia’s total trade with Turkiye increased by 74.5% to RM17.00 billion (USD4.10 billion)and this will continue to flourish in years to come!
