Dubai’s latest launch of an online halal tattoo studio: Le Inka

Temporary body art such as henna would not be much of a surprise, although halal tattoos maybe a head turner for many yet be assured it is entirely halal. Unlike traditional henna art, these tattoos come out in blueish-black color which essentially resembles permeant ink.

Creators took this opportunity to transfer their illustrations onto the canvas of skin in the Dubai-based halal tattoo studio, founded in 2019, Le Inka. At any rate Le Inka’s first and foremost mission is to foster creative freedom by presenting a space that both fires up the community and aid individual artists’ financial drive. In turn this provides an alternative form of self-expression for individuals who may face cultural and religious barriers restricting them from obtaining permeant tattoos.

Artists such as Emirati manga creator Asma Al-Remiethi and renowned Lebanese painter Nassim Nasr signed up for this project alongside many locals who joined with the chance of obtaining royalties for their designs. Consumers can purchase the temporary tattoos from the site, which in turn gives 20 percent royalties to the artist. Eventually 1,000 artists shining spotlight on their work in the platform is the company’s objective in the coming month.

Entirely made from plant-based and vegan friendly ink that permeates the first layer of skin which lasts up to two weeks are none other than Le Inka’s tattoos. Specifically found in the rainforests of central and south America the Genipa Americana plant is the main ingredient used for these tattoos.

Recently launched into retail across the United Arab Emirates with Faces, a luxury global fashion retail chain, Le Inka currently ships from Dubai to 26 countries global.
