Al Janoub Stadium is amongst the worlds most sustainable stadiums, which was designed by AECOM in hands with the well-known Zaha Hadid Architects, idea derived from the rich heritage of Qatar and Al Wakrah region.
The stadium has been awarded a gold standard Global Sustainability Assessment System by the Gulf Organization for Research and Development. Al Janoub Stadium is one of the first FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadium to receive all three GSAS certifications awards. This is a big achievement for Qatar since Al Janoub Stadium will be one the first-ever project of GORD to achieve all three certifications with majorly high ratings.
