Riyadh-based Manga Productions company in collaboration with Japan’s Toei Animation studios are going to premier the first ever Saudi Japanese anime “The Journey”. It is going to be publicize to screen at the upcoming Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“The Journey” highlights the life a warrior Aws who overcomes his troubled past to make himself a better person by growing his faith, where he will be leading a battle squad to protect the holy city of Makkah.
In a previous interview, Abdullah Al-Husaynan, the assistant art director and background designer on the film, told Arab News: “This was our first movie ever, and for Toei Animation, they are veterans, they are experts in the field.
“However, we are experts in Arab culture; it is our playground, and they are beginners in that, meaning we were teaching each other, and it was a mutual educational journey.”
