Abrar Naely, a professional registered Dietitian who graduated from OU with an exemplary master’s degree, has shared a few tips to make fasting bearable during Ramadan.
As per Naely, Ramadan is not the most convenient time to proceed with restrictive diet plans like, Keto or Atkins since it will deplete the human body of nutrients. Naely is very keen to help people know how to fuel their bodies properly during fasting, she has also highlighted that majority of the people tend to stuff their face when it comes to breaking the fast which is not a very healthy way to do for the body itself. She also has advised to take time to indulge in chewing the food.
It is very important to keep in mind not to consume a huge amount of food during iftar in Ramadan. We must keep our health in mind as well since fasting is supposed to provide ease for the mind and body after breaking it, not make it unbearable for the human body.
