The Final Section Of Etihad Railway Track Linking Abu Dhabi And Dubai Has Been Completed !

Abu Dhabi and Dubai are now linked by a direct railway line under the UAE National Rail Network, marking a significant advancement in the UAE’s greatest infrastructure project. This represents the beginning of a new era of logistical and economic integration between the two emirates, as well as preparation for connecting the remainder of the emirates to the UAE’s integrated national railway network.

Passengers will be able to travel in 100 minutes between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, 50 minutes between Dubai and Fujairah, and 70 minutes between Abu Dhabi and Al Ruwais. This would also improve UAE connectivity by linking 11 cities and sites from Al Sila to Fujairah. Traveling at a speed of 200kmph and carrying 400 people each train, the number of riders is predicted to rise to more than 36.5 million per year across the country by 2030.

The completion of the main railway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is an important element of Etihad Rail’s network, and it is part of the UAE Railway Programme, which was initiated as part of the Projects of the 50, with an investment of $13,612,815,000. Economic possibilities are also projected to be created as a result of the initiative.

The 256-kilometer railway is built in accordance with worldwide standards and specifications that address environmental, safety, and quality concerns. In total, 13,300 people put in more than 47 million hours of work.
