Dubai has become one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities. The city, one of the seven emirates that comprise the United Arab Emirates, is home to approximately 200 nationalities and provides tourists with an amazing experience. Dubai lives and breathes a spirit of promise and ingenuity, whether on the banks of the Creek or at the pinnacle of the world’s tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa. According to a new survey performed by travel insurance company InsureMyTrip, it is now the third safest city in the world for independent female travelers.
According to the UK-based travel company, 84 percent of solo travelers are female. So, the experts at InsureMyTrip wanted to know which city is best for lone female travelers.
They evaluated 66 worldwide destinations based on cost, safety, gender equality, justice, and tourist quality, as well as average Google ratings and the amount of postings each place receives on hashtags such as #sheisnotlost and #girlslovetravel.
As a result, there is a definite list of the greatest countries for a woman to travel alone.
The top five safest cities ranked in the study are as follows:
1. Madinah, Saudi Arabia: 10 / 10
2. Chiang Mai, Thailand: 9.06 / 10
3. Dubai, United Arab Emirates: 9.04 /10
4. Kyoto, Japan: 9.02 / 10
5. Macau, China: 8.75 / 10
Dubai ranked third, behind Chiang Mai, Thailand in second, and Madinah, Saudi Arabia in first place.
Dubai’s low crime rate and women-only public transportation segments were highlighted as factors for the city’s excellent rating.
The UAE was previously named #1 in another major global research regarding women’s safety, as well as fourth best place for expats to live and work.
Similarly, Dubai was named the world’s fifth greatest city in a recent assessment, while Abu Dhabi was named the world’s third most relaxing city in the 2021 Time Out global study.
