Hundreds of Cyclists Pedal from Abu Dhabi to Expo 2020 Dubai as part of UAE’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations

The tour was planned by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) to commemorate the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, which coincided with the country’s 50th anniversary of independence.

It began at the Ministry of Interior offices in Abu Dhabi and ended 111 kilometers away at the Expo 2020 Dubai finish line.

Amateurs and professionals, both UAE citizens and residents, as well as GCC people, took part in the tour.

The tour included awareness stops at a number of tourist attractions, as well as educational seminars and activities. During the race, a part of the Ministry of Interior’s history and accomplishments were reviewed.

An awards ceremony was held at Expo 2020’s Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre. The first-place winner was Grega Bole of the Shabab Al Ahli Cycling Team; in second was Hamza Yacine who cycled under the MOI banner; while third place went to Essaid Abelouache of the Al Shafar Jumeirah Cycling Team.

First place in the team category went to Al Shafar Jumeirah Cycling Team while Woosh bagged second prize and Yasi Team the third.
