Club Med Reveals New Zenventure Concept

High-end all-inclusive operator Club Med has taken a forward-thinking and pioneering approach to the way in which people holiday with the introduction of its brand new concept of Zenventure.

This luxurious holiday concept embodies the combination of adventure and variety with relaxation, mindfulness, culinary enjoyment, design and luxury, while staying true to Club Med’s ethos and historical roots. The new style of holiday will initially launch in the brand-new, Exclusive Collection (and private island) resort in the Seychelles – a destination which offers extraordinary nature in a luxurious setting that relaxes the soul, as well as thrilling adventure activities on tap.

Estelle Giraudeau, Managing Director, UK & Northern Europe at Club Med comments: “Club Med was founded on the vision that ‘The purpose of life is to be happy. The time to be happy is now. And the place to be happy is here’, and with the introduction of Zenventure, we strive to ensure this statement continues to guide our thoughts and the experiences that we provide for our guests at our resorts all around the world.”

According to a new consumer research commissioned by Club Med and conducted over three quarters shoe that over half (51%) cited that what they desire from a holiday has now changed in light of COVID-19 and almost eight in ten (77%) are now looking for both more adventure and more relaxation on their holidays.

Destinations considered to be the perfect blend of being able to seek out adventure, while still being able to carve out moments of tranquility include the Seychelles, Mauritius, Canada, Maldives and the Bahamas, while closer to home, Greece and Italy feature highly on this wish list.

Estelle Giraudea says: ‘It’s hardly surprising that the travel ban has got the nation dreaming about all the exotic destinations and experiences they’d like to enjoy post-pandemic.

‘Our research shows we’re open to plenty of excitement and adventure, whether that’s staying in a water bungalow in the Maldives, walking along the Great Wall of China or drinking rum at a beach bar in the Dominican Republic.

‘After a year like no other, we understand that people want that element of both zen and adventure and that’s why we have created the Zenventure holiday.’

Since its inception in 1950, Club Med has strived forward with the key objective of providing travelers with a relaxing escape. Club Med now boasts nine Exclusive Collection resorts, villas and chalets and an additional eight Exclusive Collection spaces within existing 4T resorts. Club Med also offers frequent visitors loyalty privileges such as free room upgrades and discounts on vacation packages through its Club Med Great Members Program.
