The first serial of Halal Travel Network, January Showcase is scheduled to take place on 30th January 2021, 11am GMT. The event will showcase discussions by halal travel professionals from around the world.
Halal Travel Network provides a platform for professionals in the travel industry to embrace and celebrate Halal friendly travel. With the aim to create awareness of the halal-friendly sector and promote an inclusive approach to worldwide tourism, the platform recently started the series of showcases with travel experts worldwide.
Members from Uganda, United Kingdom, the Maldives, Mexico and everywhere in between will join this discussion, making it a truly beneficial and must-attend event of the year.
The host of the series is Ms. Hafsa Gaher who is also one of the Founder of the Halal Travel Network. The Spotlight Speaker for the first showcase of 2021 is Ms. Soumaya T. Hamdi, Founder and Managing Director of the Halal Travel Guide.
Soumaya has been featured in the New York Times and Guardian Observer and acts as an Advisor to Tourism Boards on how destinations can attract and better cater to Muslim travelers.
The travel company recently launched the first of its kind in halal tourism – an instant booking platform with a selection of curated small-group adventures featuring experiences ranging from desert stargazing, nomad yurt stays and white water rafting to Islamic calligraphy masterclasses and lunch hosted by families on each trip. Halal Travel Guide’s vision is to make it easier for Muslims to connect with their Islamic heritage through travel and explore the legacy of Islam in each destination.
